Creative Direction

Design With Purpose

A desire for less clutter and a clearer conscience brings forth a new appreciation for details, materials, craftsmanship, and design. Consumers are willing to spend more on less, however expect a longer, more meaningful connection with their purchases in return. Products must be designed with a purpose beyond their superficial appeal in order to stand out amongst the crowd.

REI Material Concepts

Based on creating the ultimate sustainable desert hiking apparel, this materials concept direction identifies key textiles and suggested applications, as well as creative design, color, print, and pattern vision. Set across the deserts of the American Southwest, this story recalls the sun-drenched colors, diverse textures, and iconic shapes that paint these arid regions. Focus on internal balance through memory, perspective, and revival was the basis of this forward-thinking outdoor direction.
