A desire for less clutter and a clearer conscience brings forth a new appreciation for details, materials, craftsmanship, and design. Consumers are willing to spend more on less, however expect a longer, more meaningful connection with their purchases in return. Products must be designed with a purpose beyond their superficial appeal in order to stand out amongst the crowd.

REI Material Concepts
Based on creating the ultimate sustainable desert hiking apparel, this materials concept direction identifies key textiles and suggested applications, as well as creative design, color, print, and pattern vision. Set across the deserts of the American Southwest, this story recalls the sun-drenched colors, diverse textures, and iconic shapes that paint these arid regions. Focus on internal balance through memory, perspective, and revival was the basis of this forward-thinking outdoor direction.

Pearl Izumi BikeStyle Project
In pursuit of outfitting their loyal cycling consumer, Pearl Izumi explored the idea of a lifestyle biking apparel collection. With Japanese roots, Pearl Izumi had an authentic approach to integrate American bike culture with Japanese-inspired design and graphic elements. The vision behind BikeStyle was to create a transitional, on and off the bike, collection with thoughtful details, smart features, casual feel, and an edgy approach to design.

Under Armour Golf
Heralding from the futuristic architecture of Dubai, the 2018 Spring/Summer Under Armour Golf collections centered around the twisting forms and undulating lines found in this exotic city. Motion and perpetuity were explored in studies focused on the golf swing. The designs took on a very modern, architectural form with emphasis on smooth cut lines and enhanced range of motion.
